Message from Principal

Hello our wonderful Victress Bower Beagle Parents. Victress Bower School is very unique as a school for severely and profoundly special needs students in a Public School District. Corona-Norco Unified School District that serves a diverse and sizable population of over 53,000 students has created this wonderful environment for our students to flourish.

Victress Bower first opened in September 1968 at the Buena Vista location where our current Adult Education Campus is located. Then in October 1968 the 32 students with staff arrived on the newly built school on Parkridge. Throughout the years that have passed, Victress Bower Staff has seen wonderful growth and daily participation to create meaningful interaction with our students amongst their peers as well as with general education students and the community. Our staff is dedicated to providing opportunities for all of our students to develop to their fullest potential. Our students also have the opportunity to experience acceptance and respect individually which promotes their unique gifts and talents. Each student at Victress Bower School has the right to an educational program appropriate to his or her own needs and abilities. Our programs focus on the development of those critical, functional life skills necessary for each student to become more independent and to more fully participate in life experiences. Through accommodation and adaptation, students are taught to utilize and to expand their overall abilities. Victress Bower School staff embraces the opportunity to teach students how to live, work, and enjoy recreation activities at home and in the community.

I am heading into my seventh  year as principal at Victress Bower and I love our students and staff. I see joy in our staff and students each and every day I come to work. I know that there is a heritage of love, respect, dignity, and commitment to our students. When you have previously graduated students' parents come back to volunteer regularly, a staff that have been here for many years, and a culture that has been built to serve your children that is focused on student achievement, student/staff safety and wellness, communication with all communities, relational strength building, recruit, hire, train, and retain quality staff, fiscal responsible and resource alignment, and we promote and support innovative practices, you know that Victress Bower is a unique and special place to be a student at and a staff member.
